Por um lado, reconhecer e consolidar o legado do trabalho desenvolvido por todos\/as que, de alguma forma, t\u00eam estado envolvidos\/as com a se\u00e7\u00e3o tem\u00e1tica desde a sua funda\u00e7\u00e3o, em 2010. Nesse sentido, criaremos linhas claras de continuidade com as atividades j\u00e1 estabelecidas, nomeadamente mobilizando e refor\u00e7ando o envolvimento dos interesses e necessidades de acad\u00e9micos\/as em in\u00edcio de carreira e facilitando a partilha com \u00e1reas relacionadas com os estudos sociais da ci\u00eancia e tecnologia. Por outro lado, avan\u00e7aremos em novas dire\u00e7\u00f5es, i) discutindo as poss\u00edveis articula\u00e7\u00f5es dos estudos sociais da ci\u00eancia e tecnologia em e sobre Portugal com as crises locais e globais; ii) estimulando debates mais amplos com a produ\u00e7\u00e3o cient\u00edfica do Sul e do Norte global e iii) refletindo sobre o que e como a comunidade epist\u00e9mica que se autoidentifica com os estudos sociais da ci\u00eancia e tecnologia \u2013 incluindo todos\/as os\/as que se encontram formalmente associados\/as a esta se\u00e7\u00e3o tem\u00e1tica, mas tamb\u00e9m aqueles\/as que n\u00e3o se encontram associados\/as &#8211; imagina o futuro, promovendo assim a consolida\u00e7\u00e3o da comunidade.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Mais especificamente, pretendemos contribuir para a discuss\u00e3o de como os estudos sociais da ci\u00eancia e tecnologia podem ter um potencial, ainda parcamente explorado, para enfrentar, refletir criticamente e envolver-se com processos e situa\u00e7\u00f5es complexas decorrentes e associadas a desigualdades e injusti\u00e7as sociais; crises, incertezas, expectativas e riscos; ignor\u00e2ncia e resigna\u00e7\u00e3o. Por via da inspira\u00e7\u00e3o nos estudos sociais da ci\u00eancia e tecnologia feministas, p\u00f3s-coloniais e decoloniais e em estudos cr\u00edticos da ci\u00eancia, visamos convidar todos\/as os\/as acad\u00e9micos\/as com um interesse cont\u00ednuo e\/ou circunscrito neste campo a refletir sobre i) como nos podemos envolver de maneira respons\u00e1vel com quest\u00f5es sociais, materiais, econ\u00f3micas, ambientais e outras infraestruturas; ii) como podemos refletir sobre os \u201csaberes situados\u201d internos e externos e vincular teorias de resist\u00eancia e mudan\u00e7a, esperan\u00e7a e cuidado com as pessoas com quem e sobre quem trabalhamos; iii) como podemos ir al\u00e9m da perspetiva cr\u00edtica e ativamente imaginar os futuros que queremos co-construir e fazer parte; iv) como podemos intervir de forma a \u201cpermanecer com o problema\u201d ao n\u00edvel interdisciplinar e transdisciplinar.<\/p>\n<p><b><span>Programme <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Our aim for the next four years of the Thematic Section on Knowledge, Science and Technology of the Portuguese Sociological Association (Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Portuguesa de Sociologia \u2013 APS) is two-fold. On the one hand, to acknowledge and build on the legacy of the work conducted by all that have, in some capacity, been involved with the thematic section since its foundation in 2010. That is, to create clear lines of continuity with established activities, namely mobilizing and strengthening the involvement of early career scholars\u2019 interests and needs and facilitating the exchange with science and technology studies (STS) related fields. On the other hand, to move into new directions, by i) discussing the potential articulations of STS in and about Portugal with local and global crises; ii) stimulating a wider debate with the global Southern and Northern STS scholarship and iii) reflecting about what and how the epistemic community self-identifying with STS scholarship &#8211; organized within and beyond the thematic section &#8211; imagines as its own possible futures and to foster community building in these terms.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: var(--body_typography-color);font-family: var(--body_typography-font-family);font-size: var(--body_typography-font-size);font-weight: var(--body_typography-font-weight);letter-spacing: var(--body_typography-letter-spacing)\"><span>More particularly, we aim to contribute to the discussion of how STS may have underexplored potential to confront, critically reflect and engage with complex processes and situations deriving from and entangled with social inequalities and injustices; crises, uncertainties, expectations, and risks; ignorance, resignation and doom spirit.
